The summer project plays a pivotal role in the management education at NITIE. All management students undergo rigorous industry-based training in the form of an eight week summer project. The project occurs between mid-April and mid-June at the end of the first year and allows students to put their First Year learning into perspective and to get a better understanding of the current business scenario. During these projects the students act as consultants providing solutions to business problems.
The two months industry interface provides a hands-on experience of the workplace and an understanding of the organization culture to a fresh graduate. For an intern with prior experience, it provides an opportunity to combine the acquired knowledge with experience for reinforcing his / her learning.
