Stay at NITIE
Nestled amongst the lush green hills that extend into North Mumbai, NITIE has been endowed with nature's bounty. Surrounded by water bodies like the ,Powai and Vihar lakes, and a pond within the campus, the residential facilities resemble those available at some of the best hill stations in the country.
Residential Facilities
The PGDISEM course has optional residential facilities. Its students amongst the best of the country's budding managers, the hostel facilities match the would-be-executive's lifestyle. With exclusive facilities like single occupancy rooms with attached bathrooms NITIE boasts of some of the best facilities in the country not available elsewhere.
Connectivity
Every student is given a fully-furnished room, with spacious interiors and attached bathrooms with hot and cold water connections. 24*7 Internet connection has been provided in each room through a 1 Gbps LAN.
Reading Rooms, Hostel Library and TV Rooms
Facilities common to all residents consist of a reading room in every hostel where daily newspapers and periodicals are made available. The Rotaract Club also maintains a library within the hostels that houses informal content like novels, classics and best sellers. The hostel TV rooms play host to all the cricket matches and other important telecasts.
For the Sports Enthusiasts
Facilities for indoor games like table tennis, carom and chess have been provided. A sports arena with tennis, volleyball and basketball courts and football and cricket grounds is the place to witness a budding manager's killer instinct and team spirit at its best. The recently installed floodlights allow one to play at any time of the day provided one is able to find a partner!!
Network Printing, Photocopy, PCO, Stationery
In addition to printing facilities in the main Computer center, a dedicated network printer with an operator has been provided in the hostels where students can get quality printouts at subsidized rates. An STD-PCO, stationery and photocopy shop has been set up for outstation calls and general stationery requirements within the campus.
The Nescafe Counter
With timings from 1630hrs to 0130hrs in the night, this is the place where every tea, coffee, soup and maggi lover feels at home after a full day's work. It is also the preferred place for informal discussions.
Food @ Night
The EDP hostel mess caters to late night food requirements especially during examinations and the menu includes Chinese and rice as regulars.
MDP Hostel and Married Couples Accommodation
Different kinds of accommodation are available for various courses; the MDP (Management Development Programme) accommodation for corporate executives is extensively furnished with telephone connection, television set and network port in each room. Separate apartment-like accommodation is also available for students who are married and would like to stay in NITIE with their spouse.
Guest Accommodation
Outstation visitors are provided suitable accommodation (subject to availability) on payment basis within the campus. Short term stay may also be permitted by the warden in the hostel of residence of the candidate
