The placements in both the lateral and campus recruitment processes broke all previous records. Completion of recruitment of all the lateral candidates on the very first day was the initial sign of the reinforced trust of industry on PGDITM course.

 

A large chunk of the students were placed with consultancy firms, though the presence of the sectors on the whole was well balanced, including banking (BFSI), core IT/System, Manufacturing and Media. The profiles opened up included the entire spectrum of IT ranging from Modernization to Business Process Reengineering to Consulting to Supply Chain analytics.

 

Amazon offered business operations profile while Consulting companies included big names like Ernst & Young and Cognizant Business Consulting, the banking sector was represented by Yes Bank and Deutsche Bank. Besides traditional recruiters like Accenture and Infosys, the session also saw new recruiters like Asian Paints, Dell, Bennett & Coleman and HP.

 

The numbers game also showed a major upward trend with the maximum offer being INR19.5 Lacs per annum and the average and median being INR 10.9 and 10.2 Lacs per annum, respectively.

 

Overall the final placements reflect that the PGDITM course is indeed living up to the promise with which it was started.
