The recruitment process for the 9th batch of graduates of the PGDISEM course saw recruiters exhibit the same level of exuberance that PGDISEM has witnessed over the years. With the ranks of the traditional recruiters augmented by a number of new sectors and companies expressing interest in the programme, the final-year students had many more choices open to them. As in previous years, Asian Paints, J&J and GSK were some of the recruiters from the manufacturing sector. This year also saw enthusiastic participation by companies from the financial services and IT sectors. Consulting profiles were offered by KPMG, TCS, Darashaw and ITC Infotech. J&J Consumer offered the highest salary of Rs. 16.2 lakhs per annum and the average pay package rose to Rs. 10.5 lakhs per annum.
