The content of the PGDISEM course is designed to satisfy the industry’s needs, and is constantly updated with inputs from alumni and industry. The course structurecomprises of 36 core courses, 4 electives and an 8-week summer project.
The core Environmental Management courses such as Air Quality Management, Corporate Environmental Management, Energy management, Environmental Economics, Environmental Impact Assessment and Industrial Waste Water Management, along with Safety Management courses such as Industrial Safety Management and Industrial Ergonomics enable the studentsto understand and address on organization’s Environment, Health and Safety requirements.
In addition, courses like Business and Commercial laws, Environmental Legislations, Safety and Health Standards and Legislations etc. make the future managers capable of framing policies for the organization in the EHS domain thereby ensuring compliance to audit systems like ISO and OHSAS series.
The general management courses like Business Statistics, Managerial Finance, Marketing Management and Principles of Organization and Management help the students develop a holistic perspective about various business functions.
